7 DAYS EGYPT DISCOVERY               

DAY 1  MON   CAIRO
Arrival in Cairo, after customs and immigration, our representatives will meet and greet you, assist with your luggage and transfer you to the Oasis Hotel in Cairo.  Dinner on your own at hotel.

DAY 2 TUE  CAIRO / ASWAN  
Today, you will have an optional ($120) full day excursion with lunch, visiting the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. You will drive around the Pyramid of Chephren, the Pyramid of Cheops (also known as the Great Pyramid or Khufu), and the Pyramid of Mykerinos. You will have time to walk around Cheops, and take pictures. Then visit the Sphinx, the collasal one-piece sandstone man-headed lion-bodied statue. Then continue to Memphis, the capital of Old Kingdom; and then Sakkara, to visit the Step Pyramid, the first monumental stone structure in Ancient Egypt. Evening transfer to railway station for first class Sleeper train to Aswan. This sleeper air-conditioned express train has comfortable 1st class seats. Just relax and enjoy the scenic ride along the Nile for much of the journey, past palm trees, camels, and fellahin working in the fields. Dinner and Breakfast will be served on board, first class sleeping compartment. (Meals B-D)

DAY 3  WED   ASWAN / KOM OMBO  (Cruise)
After breakfast a full-day optional excursion* in Aswan including a Felucca Sailing on the Nile River and later visiting Temple of Philae, the High Dam,  and the Unfinished Obelisk site. In the evening we will sail Kom Ombo for an optional excursion* to the Ancient Site there.   Lunch and dinner are aboard the cruise boat M/S Carnival. (Meals B-L-D)

DAY 4 THU   KOM OMBO / EDFU / ESNA  (Cruise)
As you have your breakfast we will sail to Edfu.  Upon arrival in Edfu, optional excursion*    visiting the Edfu Temple. Later in the afternoon we will sail to Esna, where boat will dock for overnight. (Meals B-L-D)

DAY 5  FRI  ESNA / LUXOR (Cruise) 
This morning we will cross the locks on the Nile in Esna -providing a fun and small scale canal-crossing experience.  We will continue to sail north to Luxor.  Optional excursions* in Luxor include, Luxor and Karnak Temples and visit to the West Bank of the Nile with Thebes, Valley of Kings, Valley of the Queens and Collossi of Memnon. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.  (Meals B-L-D) 

DAY 6 SAT LUXOR / CAIRO 
Transfer to Luxor airport for flight to Cairo (flight not included).  Upon arrival transfer to your hotel in Cairo. Enjoy a half day Egypt city tour including a visit to the Egyptian Museum where archaeological pieces dating as far back as 3000 BC are in exhibit followed by a visit to the Bazaar. Dinner on your own or you may choose an optional farewell floating dinner ($50) on the Nile. (B)

DAY 7 SUN CAIRO / HOME
Transfer to Cairo airport for your flight back home to the U.S. (B)

Rates are per person on land only basis. Round trip JFK/CAI/JFK international airfare is available. Luxor Cairo flight not included.
