Difficulty: Since this trip includes 2 days of rafting the Pacuare River: Difficulty level is Moderate. Class III rafting: Rapids with high irregular waves; narrow passages that often require complex maneuvering.
Class IV rafting: Long, difficult rapids with constricted passages that often require precise maneuvering in very turbulent waters. Rafting Distance: 14 miles River time: From 3-1/2 to 5 hours - depending on water level.

Requirements: Departures flights out of San Jose International Airport (12/01)after 12:30 PM. Flights departing before 12:30 PM will be charged $80 per person for early transfer from Arenal.

Rates are per person in double occupancy. Home-based agents qualify. Space is very limited, and confirmations are on first come first serve basis, subject to availability.

Special Needs: If you require an extra night in San Jose before or after the tour, a pre/post night is available for just $70 p.p. dbl occupancy which includes 1 night at the deluxe Barcelo San Jose Palacio Hotel, breakfast buffet, hotel tax, and airport shuttle.
